Zach Gifford

Zachary James Gifford, age 25, died Monday, January 16, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born April 13, 1986 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Steven Terry and Melanie Kim Walton Gifford. On August 19, 2006 he married Danielle Nicole Reber in Las Vegas, Nevada. Zach lived in Las Vegas until the 6th grade when his family moved to Logandale where he graduated from Moapa Valley High School. He enjoyed riding his BMX bike and spending time with friends. After he married Danielle, he joined the Army National Guard and worked in construction, living in both Las Vegas and Logandale. He loved to draw and aspired to be a tattoo artist. He will be remembered for his quiet nature and as a loving husband, father, and son. Survivors include his wife, Danielle and daughter, Leah Michelle both of Overton, NV; his father, Steve Gifford of UT; his mother and stepfather, Kim and Mike Cope of Logandale, NV; grandparents: Muriel Gifford, UT; Norma Walton, St. George, UT; Sharron Cope of Las Vegas, NV; Curtis Cope of ID; two brothers and four sisters: Matthew Gifford of St. George, UT; Stephanie Cope, Megan Cope, Melissa Cope all of Las Vegas, NV: Kaitlyn Cope of St. George, UT and Derek Cope of Logandale, NV. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Logandale LDS Stake Center. Visitation will be from 9:30 - 10: 30 a.m. prior to services at the chapel. Interment will follow in the Logandale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up at Moapa Valley Federal Credit Union on behalf of his daughter, Leah.
