Yvonne Mcguire
June 30, 1947 — February 18, 2015
Yvonne K. (Pfeifer) McGuire, age 67, a long time resident of Overton, NV passed away on February 18th, 2015 in Las Vegas Nevada from complications of a stroke. She was born in Ashland, WI., on June 30th, 1947, and attended school in Hayward, WI., a graduate of the class of 1965. George and Yvonne were married on August 17th, 1987. After moving to Overton she became one of the first waitresses at Sugar's restaurant when they opened in 1991 and she retired from there.
She is survived by her husband, George McGuire of Overton NV, three brothers: Walter of Dolgeville, NY, William (Jayne) of Bozeman MT, John (Joyce) of Red Bluff, CA. Three sisters: Luella Wendt of Blythewood, SC, Charlotte (Jim) Robotham of Dolgeville, NY, and Machele Pfeifer of North Liberty, Iowa.
Nine stepchildren, Kathy (Paul) Millar of Paris, CA, Danny (Lynne) Ashley of Moreno Valley, CA, Jimmy McGuire of New Mexico., Doug (Cindy) McGuire of Cordell, OK, Bobby McGuire of Hay Market, Virginia., Vicki (Reggie) Holliday of Eau Claire,WI, Michelle McGuire of Orange County, CA, Russell McGuire of Ontario, CA, and Kathi Sykes of Illinois.
Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her beloved pet dogs, Stub and Lucki.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar John and Lucille W. Pfeifer, two brothers, Carl and Paul and her first husband Gerald Kline.
A memorial service will be held at the home of Greg and Susan Fly on Saturday February 28th, 2015 at 1 p.m. 2725 N. St. Joseph St. Logandale, NV.
