William Murray Turnball, age 69, died Thursday, June 25, 2009 at his home in Moapa, Nevada. He was born June 12, 1940 in Modesto, California to Charles Murray and Ileen Miller Turnbull. On May 22, 2001 he married LuElla Frost in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Willie lived throughout the United States as a youth and as an adult as both he and his father followed the construction trades. Many years were spent sheetrocking and framing in Las Vegas. He finally settled in Moapa, Nevada twenty years ago. He recently joined the LDS Church after many years of investigating their beliefs. He always enjoyed hunting with his brothers and being in the outdoors. He was a good mechanic. He was a very devoted husband.
Survivors include his wife, LuElla; a son and a daughter, Sandy and Willy, Jr. both of Florida; eight stepchildren; 47 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and one brother, Chet (JoAnne) of Caliente, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty; son, Charlie; two daughters: Charlotte and Patti; sister, Loretta and brother, Donnie.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 4, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Moapa LDS Chapel. Arrangements under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com
