William "Bill" Leroy Cederburg

William "Bill" Leroy Cederburg, 77, long time resident of Rock Springs, Wyoming passed away on March 18, 2013 in Beaver Dam, Arizona, surrounded by family, after a long battle with cancer. Bill was born August 16, 1935, in Venus, Nebraska, the son of Vinton Cederburg and Ione Tikalsky. Bill graduated from high school in Walnut, Nebraska in 1951. He enlisted in the Army in 1952 where he served during the Korean War. He married Joan Matthews on November 9, 1957 in Rock Springs, Wyoming. They had one son William Merritt Cederburg. He worked at General Chemical from 1968 until his retirement in 1995. Bill was an avid outdoors man and member of the pony express. His interests included; riding horses, roping cattle, camping, fishing, hunting and spending time with his loved ones. He is survived by; his wife Joan Cederburg, of Rock Springs, Wyo.; sister Lillian Marie Billings of TX.; son William Merritt Cederburg and wife Glynis; grandchildren, William Marcus Cederburg, Amanda Lee Hickerson and husband Larry of Rock Springs Wyo.; three great grand children; Steven, Hadlie, and Boyd Hickerson. He is preceded in death by; his father, Vinton; his mother, Ione; and his two brothers, James and Jerry Cederburg. A wake of memorial will be held for the family and friends at a future date.
