Wayman Doss Reynolds, 91, passed away on January 6, 2021 in Logandale, NV. Wayman was born on February 8, 1929 in Altus, AR to Archie Doss Reynolds and Mozelle Nichols. Wayman was raised in Van Buren, AR, and loved playing sports.
His world revolved around his Nancy. They met on a blind date and were both very young when they married. He was 21 and she was 17. They were married on September 22, 1950 and shared 68 years . Together they raised 2 beautiful daughters and made their home in Fort Smith, Arkansas, where they finally settled on South Greenwood and lived in the same house for 50 years. With their health failing, they moved to Logandale, Nevada in 2015 to live with their daughter Susie and be closer to family. After attending the university for a time to be an accountant, Wayman left to become a train conductor for Missouri Pacific. He loved his time working there, andretired in 1991, eventually the Missouri Pacific became part of Union Pacific, which is where he retired from. He used to love hearing those trains pass by the house in Logandale.
Wayman was always serving others. He cared for his mother and his brother Tommy for many years until their passing. He loved his grandchildren, and would have them over every summer to go camping and fishing, and play with any of the rescued animals they had.
Wayman is survived by his daughter, Susie Jones; his grandchildren, Joyce (Dan) Slomers, Jeff (Maria) Jones, Jenna (Tom) Rhude, Nickolas (Esther) Jones, and Nathan (Kelli) Jones; and his twenty-four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Marylyn Boger; his parents; his daughter, Lindy Louellen Reynolds; his son-in-law, Kevin Jones; his brother, Tommy; and his grandchildren, LynDee and David.
