Warren Horace Spooner, age 80, died Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at his home in Overton, Nevada. He was born September 23, 1930 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Warren Horace and Florence May Henschal Spooner. On February 14, 1975, he married Nola Andersen Adams in Las Vegas, Nevada. She died June 23, 2005. As a teenager, Warren moved with his family from Pennsylvania to Southern California. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. After moving back to California for a short time, he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where he worked in the grocery business for many years. After he retired, he was able to pursue his love of art. He studied under many local artists and was well respected in the local art community. He enjoyed traveling and building and flying scale model airplanes. Survivors include two step daughters and one step son: Jeraldyne (Dick) McEwen of Henderson, NV; Susan (Doug) Barlow of Logandale, NV; Michael (Sandy) Adams of West Point, UT; 10 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; one brother, Allen (Cheryl) of Tucson, AZ and one sister, Carol Van Ness of Dallas, TX. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 25, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Overton 1st Ward Chapel. Visitation will be from 9:30 - 10:30 prior to services at the chapel. Interment will follow in the Pioneer Hill Memorial Cemetery.
