Mesquite, NV - Wanda Francis Willow, 91, passed away May 16, 2015 at Highland Manor in Mesquite, NV. She was born March 22, 1924 in Corning, NY to Perry and Ethel (Morseman) Faulkner. She married Leon Willow Nov. 11, 1978 in Corning, NY.
Wanda spent much of her life in the area near Corning, NY. Her family lived in Riverside, NY, and she went to school in Painted Post, NY. After graduating from High School, she married Roland DeLux in 1943. Roland served in Europe during World War 2, where he was killed in action, being survived by Wanda and her son Tom DeLux. Wanda was a hard worker and worked for Remington Rand, Corning Glassware, and Corning Credit Union, until she married Stan Mosher. She stayed home after they were married and she gave birth to their son Ricky Lee Mosher. After Stan Mosher passed away, Wanda married Leon Willow in Corning, NY in 1978. When Leon retired in 1996, they moved out to Las Vegas, NV for ten years. They then relocated to Beaver Dam, AZ. Wanda enjoyed coming into Mesquite, NV to go bowling and to play cards at the casino. She played and won several tournaments and excelled in Black Jack. She was a member of the Moose Lodge, the American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
She is survived by her husband Leon Willow, Beaver Dam, AZ; her two sons: Tom (Joyce) DeLux, St. Augustine, FL and Ricky Lee Mosher of Kannapolis, NC; her sister Hazel Walters, Corning, NY; 5 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
