Wanda Lee Clarke, 80, passed away on July 22, 2018 in Mesquite, NV. Wanda was born on August 4, 1937 in Burton City, OH to Walter Edward Clarke and Lillian Lucille Benson.
Wanda loved her family and to spend time with them. It meant a lot to her when they came to see her. She is remembered for her great sense of humor and how she would harass and tease her little grandbabies. They were the most important thing in her life, along with her faith in God. She would say, “Let go, let God”, and would recite the Serenity Prayer when her daughters were acting up. She would listen to old Gospels and sing loudly to the “Oldies” in her room when she thought no one was listening. She loved playing on the computer and watching her soap operas. Wanda was a faithful fan, even to the point where her doctors told her to stop watching the Cleveland Indians and the Browns for her health. As well, she would spend time gardening, planting flowers, and painting ceramics. Her daughters and grandchildren remembered playing cards and board games with her often.
She is survived by her daughters; Ramona (Tony Santos) Forbes, Beverly (Doug) Hootman, and Edna Hopkins her grandchildren; Robert, Arika, Paula, Adam (Ashton), Paige, Jacob, Ashlee, Stephen, Kiley, and Troy, her great-grandsons; Carter and Miles, her two sisters; Treva Riggenbach and Beverly Clarke, and several nieces and a nephew. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother; Tommy Clarke.
