Virginia Ann Schaffer, 75, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2024, in Las Vegas, NV. Virginia was born on November 2, 1948, in Berwyn Illinois to her father Raymond and her Mother Mary. She had a fulfilling and exciting career as a stewardess for American Airlines, flying on a 747 for her twenty-five-years. She loved traveling, and visited many parts of the United States. She had many favorite places, especially Cape Cod, MA and the islands of Hawaii. She would often go on walks to collect sea shells on the beach or pine cones in the forest. She loved being near the ocean, lakes and water of any type. With all her travels, she met many wonderful people. It didn’t take long for people to enjoy her bright and witty personality and infectious laugh. She became friends with several NFL stars and Hall-of-famers and would have them over for dinners and events as she was an accomplished home chef. She was incredibly astute and remained mentally engaged in all aspects of many current events, including politics and sports. Virginia, also found ways to serve others, and during the holiday season would take part in service that provided joy to those in need. She had a deep love for her father, and later in life moved to be near him. Virginia was loved by her friends and all who came in contact with her and she will certainly be missed.
