Virginia Rice, age 77, died Thursday, Friday 17, 2011 in St. George, Utah. She was born February 19, 1933 in Mesa, Arizona to Rollie and Ruby Collins Drorbaugh. On March 7, 1953 she married Henry "Hank" A. Rice in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on February 16, 1998. She grew up in Mesa, Arizona. In 1953 she moved to Moapa Valley where she finished her education after she was married to Hank. She was an Avon Representative for 41 years, and also worked at the Logandale Post Office for 18 years. She volunteered many hours in the early years of the Clark County Fair, at the voting polls on Election Day and served on both the Town Board and the Moapa Valley Master Plan Committee. She was always helpful to friends in need. She was a faithful supporter of her husband and his ranching. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery and other needle work, ceramics, doll making, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her two sons: John (Janna) of Denver, CO; Richard of Logandale, NV; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Logandale LDS Stake Center. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the chapel. Interment will follow in the Logandale Cemetery under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary.
