Virginia Faye Minton

Mesquite, NV – Virginia Faye Minton, age 85, passed away Thursday June 11th, 2015 at her home. She was born May 27th, 1930 in Griffin, TX to A.D. Evans and Mary Mitchell Evans. She married Richard Baines Minton on June 18th, 1949 in Gillette, WY.

Faye grew up on a farm in East Texas and graduated from New Summerfield High School. After high school, she obtained her degree as an LPN. Faye was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed traveling around the country with her family and visiting friends and loved ones. Faye had a great many friendships and never met a stranger. Her first question to a new acquaintance was usually "Where are you from?." Faye loved spending time at the senior center visiting with her friends. She also enjoyed watching NASCAR, singing in church and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Dick Minton and her three children Richard (Joy) Minton of Enid, OK, Dr. Douglas Minton of Denver, CO, and Denise (Don) Loveless of Billings, MT; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; her sister Bobbye Davis of Richardson, TX and her brother John Evans of Hearne, TX. Preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one brother.

Celebration of Life services will be Saturday, June 20th at 11:00 am at Christian Community Church, 233 N. Sandhill Blvd., Mesquite, NV 89024.
