Vicki Kay Collup

Vicki Kay Collup, age 59, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at her home in Overton, Nevada with her sons and husband at her side. She was born November 13, 1954 in Albuquerque, NM to James Richard and Shirley Jane Bryant Van Dervort. On June 12, 1975 she married William Robert "Bill" Collup in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Vicki grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona. Upon entering college at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ, she met Bill. After graduation, they worked and lived near several different National Park Areas, finally settling in the Moapa Valley area in 1991. She was a dedicated mother and wife, always caring for her husband and three sons. She served for over 13 years as a Den Mother and helper for the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America. She enjoyed singing, art and being with family.

Survivors include her husband, Bill; two sons, Justin (Cortney) of Colorado Springs, CO and their three children (Carson, Garrett, and Blake); Seth of Seattle, WA; her mother, Shirley Van Dervort of Scottsdale, AZ; two sisters: Linda Van Dervort of Boulder, CO and Share Van Dervort of Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by one son, Craig Richard, her father, James, and one sister, Bonnie.

Memorial services will be held Friday, May 16, 2014 at 6 p.m. at the Calvary Community Chapel, Overton, Nevada. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Vicki's name to the American Cancer Society.
