Venora (Vicky) May Lambert

Vicky Lambert Venora "Vicky" Lambert, age 87 passed away March 23, 2009 in St. George, Utah. She was born February 22, 1922 in Niles, Michigan to Emery and Lydia "Loos" Stover. She was a switchboard operator at the Hilton Hotel in Chicago and later worked during war years as a government inspector at Dunham Bush, Michigan City and many years at Inter Royal before moving from Michigan City to Las Vegas, Nevada to be near her daughter. She was hardworking and resilient at the age of 76 she returned to full time work that she enjoyed until age 82. She also enjoyed spending time with her daughter and quilting afghans for family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter Georgia Yahrmatter of Mesquite "Sun City" NV; grandson Randy Yahrmatter of Michigan City; two sisters, one brother and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by grandson Ken Yahrmatter and sister Claudine Gitchell
We are glad to let her go, free from pain, but wish we could have her still. She will be sorely missed but will be remembered with much love for her great generosity, humor, energy, and spunk.
