Travis Hughes

Travis Hughes, 41, of Mesquite, Nevada was taken from us on March 7, 2015 as a result of an automobile accident in Scenic, Arizona. He was born on September 13, 1973 in St. George, Utah. The third child and second son of Michael Hughes and Thenelda Hardy Myers. Travis attended Virgin Valley High School where he made lifelong friends. On November, 26, 1992 he married Shelby Hardy in Las Vegas, Nevada. They divorced at a later time after having four daughters. He later had two more daughters and a son with Shannon Pihl. Travis lived most of his life in the Virgin Valley area where he worked for Trade West Construction for 20 plus years.

Survivors include daughters, Mckenzy (Candelario) Acosta, Kaylee (Jeremy) Emett, Macey (Belen) Martinez, Madison, and their mother, Shelby Hughes; daughters, Riley, Hayden; son, Mason, their mother Shannon Pihl and her son Anthony; granddaughter, Sophia Acosta; brother, Kirt; sister, Michelle (Manuel) Romero; father, Michael; stepmother, Anita; brother in law, Landon Hardy; and many extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Thenelda and his grandparents, Elwood Hardy and Anna Hardy Bowler, and Clair and Donna Hughes.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 11am at the Mesquite LDS Stake Center, 100 North Arrowhead Lane. Visitation will be Friday, March 20, 2015 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Virgin Valley Mortuary, 320 E. Old Mill Road, Mesquite, NV and again Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30am at the Mesquite LDS Stake Center. Interment will follow in the Bunkerville Cemetery.
