Tony Chesnut

October 24, 1945 — November 29, 2023

Overton, NV

Tony Doral Chesnut, 78, passed away on November 29, 2023 in St. George, Utah. Tony was born on October 24, 1945 in Wayne Co., Utah to Anthony Chesnut and Hazel DeLeeuw. He married Carol Nielsen on January 1, 1968 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Tony loved his family; they always came first. He treasured the time spent with his children and his grandchildren, and especially loved his wife, Carol. He was a hard worker, and would always show his love by looking for things to fix and repair, or different ways to serve. He always needed something to do, often volunteering at the RV parks he and Carol would stay at during their many adventures. He loved talking, and met many friends, and had three RV hookups at his home so his friends could visit. He loved golf, which was a new hobby for him. He was so happy when he got his first hole-in-one just last year.

Tony is survived by his wife, Carol Chesnut; his children, Jeff (Tiffany) Chesnut, Chad (Valerie) Chesnut, and Shanna Daniels; his ten grandchildren, Taylor (Tyler), Aspen, Zuzu (Kyle), Alexis (Casey), Echo, Madi, Brayden, Rhomio, Promis, and Da’mon; his twelve great-grandchildren; his sister, Edna (Steve) Sherwood; and his brother-in-law, Gene (Grace) Nielsen. He is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Hazel Chesnut; and his grandson, Dylan.
