Thomas E. Stoddard

Littlefield, AZ – Thomas E. Stoddard passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. He was born September 19, 1936 in Boise Idaho to Ruby Milliken Stoddard and Ernest D. Stoddard.

He was raised in the Boise, Idaho area. At 16 years of age he enlisted in the Navy serving 5 years during the Korean War on the destroyer USS Cushing. He returned to the Boise area and logged for a few years before moving to Modesto, California where he owned and operated a Arthur Murray dance studio. He then managed a lounge in downtown Modesto for 8 years which is where he honed his ability to make people laugh. He moved to Chico, California and became a truck driver for Diamond International traveling 5 western states until his first retirement. On November 10, 1990 he married the love of his life, Nikki Landrum-Miner. They then embarked on a career of property management together managing senior retirement complexes and mobile home parks until his final retirement in 2003. Tom & Nikki moved to Beaver Dam in 2004 and then built their dream home in Scenic which he was very proud of.

He was an active in the Chico Elks Lodge #423 for many years. He transferred to Mesquite and received his 35 year pin this year. Tom loved to camp, stream fish, hunt, collecting guns, ATVing but, was most remembered for his humor, sarcasm and wild tales which brought many laughs to friends and family.

He is survived by his wife Nikki in Scenic, AZ, stepsons, Travis and Devin Miner, sisters Francis Eno (Larry), Elaine Bollman. Tom was preceded in death by his father Ernest D. Stoddard, mother Ruby Knowlen and sister, Patty Crisler.
