Thomas Francis Fay, Jr., age 76, died Monday, December 20, 2010 at his home in Overton, Nevada surrounded by his family. He was born February 13, 1934 in Arvada, Colorado to Thomas Francis and Florence Glennon Fay. On September 30, 1961 he married Evalyn White in Las Vegas, Nevada. Thomas grew up in Arvada where a life long love of rodeos and horses was instilled. Soon after high school, he was drafted into the US Army, serving in the Korean Conflict. He then moved to Las Vegas and began working at the North Las Vegas Police Department. He had a successful career of over 26 years, rising to the position of Assistant Police Chief in the city of North Las Vegas. In 1978 he moved his family to Overton, Nevada. He enjoyed, hunting, fishing and being in the outdoors with his family. Survivors include his wife, Evalyn of Overton, NV; four sons, Thomas F. (Rebecca) of Henderson, NV; Lincoln of Winnemucca, NV; Matt and Justin of Overton; three grandchildren and one sister, Mary (Bernie) Bowen of Duck Creek, UT. A Funeral Mass will be held in his honor on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the St. John's Catholic Church in Logandale, Nevada. Interment will be Monday, December 27, 2010 at 9 a.m. at the Winnemucca City Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com
