Theodore (Teddy) Joseph Sorenson

Theodore (Teddy) Joseph Sorenson left this world to move on to the next on Tuesday, March 17, 2009. Ted was born September 22, 1939 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Frank T. and Rose Stancola Sorenson. In 1998 he married Sandi Fromm in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ted went to school in Idaho, before joining the Navy as a sonar specialist on the Floyd B. Parks. After his many trips to foreign countries he was discharged and landed in Las Vegas to be with his parents. He spent 25 years of service as a Fire fighter with the city of Las Vegas. He retired in 1987 after a mild heart attack.

He was loved by most and feared by some. He always had great stories to tell about his boyhood in Idaho and his Navy exploits with his best friend, James Hayney. He loved his fire fighter buddies and talked to them regularly.

His is survived by his loving wife; Sandi Sorenson of Mesquite, Nevada; Daughter Tracy (Sorenson) Jones; three grandsons and one great granddaughter; one sister, Rosiela of Twins Falls, Idaho. Ted was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley, son Thomas, father Frank T and mother Rose (Stancola) Sorenson.

I know you will be pain free now and will be waiting for me with a red rose in your hand. You will always be my true love.

An open house will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2009 from 3 to 6 pm, at the Clubhouse in Mesquite Vistas, 851 Pinnacle Court.
