Sylvia Davis

Sylvia Davis, age 92, died peacefully on Monday, April 26, 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born January 1, 1918 in Syracuse, New York to Isadore and Lillian Smith Kessel. On July 3, 1934 she married Bennie Davis in Syracuse, New York. He preceded her in death on July 5, 2008.
Sylvia grew up and raised her family in Syracuse, New York where she worked as a saleswoman. She and Bennie retired to Florida before finally settling in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2003. She loved people and loved to socialize. She never met a stranger.
Survivors include two daughters Marlene (Robert) O'Neil of Las Vegas, NV; Bonnie (Howard) Gaarelick of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary. Interment will follow in the Logandale Cemetery under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary.
