Stewart Winn Lewis

Stewart Winn Lewis, 88, passed away on February 1, 2025 in his home in Overton, NV. Stewart was born on March 21, 1936 in Overton, NV to Emery Leonard and Jessie Winn Lewis. He married Emma Lu Whipple on June 22, 1956 in the St. George, UT Temple. 

Stewart loved to go fishing and hunting. He was an artist, and loved to sketch. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for the Department of Wildlife for many years. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many callings. He loved reading his scriptures. He was humorous and loved pulling pranks. He loved spending his time with Emma Lu, playing his harmonica or listening to Emma Lu play the piano. They were married for sixty-eight years. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren very much.

Stewart is survived by his wife, Emma Lu Lewis; his children, Clifford (Sue) Lewis, La Ree (Carlos) Gomez, Renae Lewis, Rod (Sherry) Lewis, and Beth Ann Woods; his fourteen grandchildren; and his twenty great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Emery and Jessie Lewis; his siblings, Linda Flynn and Ray Lewis; and his grandson, Taylor Lewis. A viewing will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Overton Chapel, with Funeral services at 11:00 a.m. The Interment will follow at the Pioneer Hill Cemetery.
