Steven Wayne Perea, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2010 in Overton, Nevada. He was born on May 22, 1963 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Alfonzo Belermino and Mary Ann Christensen Perea. On September 20, 1986 he married Deborah Ranee Samora in Ogden, UT. They were later divorced.
Steve grew up in Hooper, UT but spent most of his life in the Layton area. During the past few years he had relocated to Logandale, NV for health reasons. He worked most of his life at the Utility Trailer manufacturing company as an electrician. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved hunting, demolition derbies, skydiving, and anything that proved to be an adventure. He especially enjoyed trips to Lagoon with his daughter who idealized her dad and he expressed his mutual love and adoration for her.
Survivors include his daughter, Marissa Anita Samora Perea of Logandale, NV; his parents, Alfonzo Perea of Ogden, UT, Ken and Mary Ann Robison of Logandale, NV; grandmother, Betty Robison of Las Angeles, CA; and brother, David (Diana) Perea of Hansville, WA.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 1, 2010, at 10 am at the Lindquist Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. Layton, UT. Visitations will be Saturday, January 30 from 4-5 pm at the Moapa Valley Mortuary and Sunday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Lindquist Layton mortuary and again Monday morning one hour prior to services at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Moroni Cemetery, Moroni, Utah Monday, February 1, 2010 at 3 p.m. under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary.
