Steven Douglas Brown, beloved husband, father, brother and friend, passed away suddenly Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009, in Las Vegas, at the young age of 41. He was born in Las Vegas, June 18, 1968, to Harold Gene and Esther Aileen Brown.
Steven graduated in 1986 from Hurricane High School, where he was student body president, always recognized as a great leader, and obtained his goal of getting the first high school marque in Hurricane. Having an abiding love for his country, he joined the U.S. Air Force Reserves. Elder Brown served two years as a missionary in the Baton Rouge, La., Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1987 to 1989. The love of his life was Jillene McDonald, whom he married in 1992, in the Las Vegas LDS Temple. Together, they have four beautiful daughters whom he worshiped. Steven was constantly learning and received his bachelor's degree in history at UNLV, and a law degree at J. Reuben Clark Law School. His motto was "I fight for equality not for gain" and enjoyed working at Dempsey, Roberts and Smith. He was often the instigator of office antics and was known for his wall of heros. When Steven had a goal, he worked hard and tirelessly to achieve it.
