Stanley Jesse Hutchings

Stanley Jesse Hutchings, age 58, died Saturday, April 24, 2010 at his daughter's home in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born December 27, 1951 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Wendell Edward and Luana Whipple Hutchings. On January 26, 1974 he married Terri Lynn Fetherston in Overton, Nevada. They had five children and were later divorced.

Stan grew up in Logandale, Nevada and was Student Body President of Moapa Valley High School. He was a state officer in the FFA organization and achieved the rank of an Eagle Scout. He was an All American in both football and basketball. After their marriaige, Terri and Stan raised their family in Las Vegas. He enjoyed hunting, shooting, competing in rodeos, body building, and Harley Davidson Motorcycles. His family and friends will fondly remember his teasing sense of humor.

Survivors include his two sons and three daughters: Mark, Leslie (Rod) Ray, Ashly, Nicholas (Cindy), Shelby all of Las Vegas, NV, twelve grandchildren, two sisters, Gerie (Neils) Pederson of Winters, CA and Pat Lewis of Moapa, NV.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Logandale LDS Stake Center. Visitation will be from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. just prior to services at the chapel. Interment will be in the Logandale Cemetery under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary.
