Socorro "Coco" Alvarado

Our beloved mother, Socorro “Coco” Alvarado (Urrutia), age 69, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 in El Paso, Texas.  She was born on June 30, 1952 in Toreón, Coahuila, Mexico.  She is now resting in peace and is preceded in death by her mother, Basilisa Fuentes Vaquera, father, Efren Alvarado Yanez, and son Jose “Roger” Marquez.
Socorro is survived by her children Vianna Urrutia, Marcela Urrutia, Erika Urrutia Lee, Efren Urrutia, Vanessa Thaher, Marissa Ramirez, Mayra Alvarado, twenty grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Socorro had a small service in El Paso on December 10, 2021 and will have her final service and burial in Mesquite, Nevada.
A memorial gathering and celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. at the Virgin Valley Mortuary, 320 E. Old Mill Road, Mesquite, NV.  She will be laid to rest at the Mesquite City Cemetery on Hardy Way at 2 p.m. following the memorial.  All are invited.
