Shirley Anne Martin, 75, passed away Friday, August 5, 2011 at Dixie Regional Medical Center in St George, UT. She was born September 1, 1935 in Presho, SD to Malcom and May Miller Mulholland. Shirley was married for 52 years to Walter "Red" Martin who preceded her in death in 2009.

Shirley was a very giving and selfless person who always put others first. She was a very doting grandmother and her family was the most important thing in her life. She also was an avid reader who never went to bed without reading a book, and never started a morning without a cup of Folgers coffee.

Shirley and Walter raised their kids in Cody, Wy and eventually moved to Beaver Dam, AZ in 1990 to retire.

Shirley is survived by her children, Bryan (Kelli Carlton) Martin, Rhonda ( Mike) Vertner, and Wally (Mary) Martin, grandchildren Trisha, Dawn, Callie, Taylor, John Ryan, Devon, and Molly, sister Julia Matthews, Phoenix, AZ, and brother Donald Mulholland (Joanne), Beaver Dam, AZ.

Along with her husband, Shirley was preceded in death by six brothers, Harold, Willis "Babe", Malcom, Robert, Gerald, and John, and two sisters, Eva and Dorothy.
