Shirlene was raised in Hinckley and went to high school in Delta, Utah. She lived in Delta for many years and was employed at the Water Canal Company. She also spent 15 years in Michigan where Milt was employed.

Shirlene was a great cook and the family loved spending holidays with her, and enjoying her feasts. She was an avid reader and would read several novels a week. She loved NASCAR motor sports and cheered loudly for her favorite drivers. Shirlene loved being with her friends and family, no matter the place or occasion. Caring for and loving the family pets was one of her great joys.

There will be no services per Shirlene's request. A family gathering was held on Sunday, October 13, 2013 to celebrate Shirlene's life. Shirlene loved Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah and those who would like to donate to Best Friends in Shirlene's memory would be greatly appreciated.
