Sheila Jeanette (Groshek) Cholewinski

Sheila Jeanette Cholewinski, age 83, died Saturday, November 28, 2020 in Mesquite, Nevada.  She was born June 14, 1937 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin to Harry A. and Esther Simonis Groshek.  On January 18, 1958, she married James Cholewinski in Steven’s Point, WI.  They had one daughter, Darlene  and both James and Darlene preceded her in death, James on November 10, 1995.
Sheila lived most of her life in Stevens Point.  She worked as a secretary for a lighting company.  She moved to warmth of Las Vegas in 2007 and to the small town of Mesquite in 2017.  She lived next to her two nieces’ Cindy (Chalmers) Hoye and Barbara (Wayne) Puerner.  They were very close.  She enjoyed reading, traveling and knitting.  She loved family gatherings and quiet time with her family.
Survivors include three sisters: Vivian Alessi, Connie Wroblewski and Carol Kardach of Wisconsin. After the death of her daughter Darlene, she remained close to Darlene’s friend, Michael Domka.
Sheila’s wishes were to be cremated and to have her ashes returned to Wisconsin where she will be close to her husband.  Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.virginvalleymortuary.com
