Shannon Rose Smith, age 60, died Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in Logandale, Nevada. She was born on May 9, 1953 in Hollywood, California to Jack William and Loveta Mae Clemmer Rose. On May 16, 1992 she married Samuel Oliver Smith in Las Vegas, Nevada
Shannon grew up in Fresno, California. She lived in Las Vegas and Laughlin before settling in Moapa Valley in 1990. She worked as a cocktail waitress while studying to be a Certified Nurses Assistant while raising her son. She loved being outdoors, horses, riding quads, boating, animals and shooting. She was devoted to her son, husband and friends. She was always looking to comfort others.
Survivors include her husband, Sam of Logandale; son, Daniel (Tamara) Wright of Kaysville, Utah; step daughters: Jennia (Chuck) Pennington of Phoenix, AZ; Janele (Matt) Bahnmaier of KS; eight grandchildren (Kayla, JorDann, Taylor, Trent, Mason, T.J., Sydney, and Colton); two brothers: Jack (Robin) Rose of CA and John (Cheryl) Rose of NC.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, Logandale Stake Center. Visitation will be from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the chapel.
