Shannon Frehner Hartley, age 50, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born April 15, 1963 in Cedar City, Utah to Verl and Toni Lawrence Frehner. On November 10, 1984 she married James Robert Hartley in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Shannon grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, graduating from Bonanza High School. She earned her Associate Degree in Design Engineering and a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Technology from Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah.

She moved to Scenic, Arizona in 2000. She worked as a Survey Technician with Bullock Bros. Engineering for many years, until her father became ill. She went back to school where she earned her CNA license so she could help care for him. Shannon also served on the school board for 10 years with the Littlefield Unified School District #9 in Littlefield, Arizona. She will be remembered for her caring and serving personality and her love for her family and those she took care of.

Survivors include her husband, James, son, Christopher of Hinesville, GA; daughter, KaLeiah, Scenic, AZ; mother, Toni Frehner of Scenic, AZ and one sister, Stacie Frehner, Cedar City, UT. She was preceded in death by her father, Verl.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Mesquite LDS Stake Center, 100 N Arrowhead, Mesquite, NV. Visitation will be Thursday, April 25, 2013 from 6 - 8 p.m. and again Friday before the services from 9:30-10:30 a.m. both at the Stake Center. Interment will follow in the Mesquite City Cemetery.
