Salvatore Gregorio, Sr.

Salvatore Gregorio, Jr., age 84, died Monday, June 20, 2022 in Mesquite, Nevada.  He was born November 22, 1937 in New York to Salvatore Sr. and Catherine Mary Ermocida Gregorio.  On June 14, 1958 he married Georgina Alicia Becerra in Los Angeles, California.

Salvatore grew up in Brooklyn until around seven years old, then his family relocated to Los Angeles, California.  He served in the United States Air Force for 28 years as an Avionics Engineer.  His Air Force career allowed them to raise their family all over the globe.  They lived in England, Thailand, Japan, Puerto Rico and many areas of the United States.  They settled in Mesquite, Nevada  in 1998.  Always very musical, Salvatore had a gift for playing the guitar.  He enjoyed being a radio ham operator and he was an avid motorcycle rider.

Survivors include his wife, Georgina of Mesquite; two sons: Keith (Alicia) of Mission Viejo, CA; Paul of Mesquite, NV and three grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert.

Visitation will be held at Virgin Valley Mortuary, 320 E. Old Mill Rd from  9:00-11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2022 with funeral services following at  11:30 a.m. at the La Virgen de Guadalupe Catholic Church, 401 Canyon Crest Blvd., Mesquite, NV. Interment will be at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 1:30 p.m..  Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.virginvalleymortuary.com.
