Russell Hoffman

Walton Russell Hoffman, age 81, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 2, 2009 at his home in Overton, Nevada. He was born July 14, 1928 in Plainview, Texas to Walter Straub and Raye Wagner Russell Hoffman.
Russell lived most of his life in Plainview, only moving to Overton, Nevada in 2001. He was a simple man, creative and passionate about religion. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Plainview and of the Lake Mead Baptist Church in Overton. He loved to read the bible and to sing in the church choir. He was very artistic and was always working on a project. His greatest desire was to be a good Christian.
Survivors include one brother, John (Renae) Hoffman of Overton, NV and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 6, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Lake Mead Baptist Church, Overton, Nevada. Visitation will be one hour prior at the church. Interment will be on Monday, November 9, 2009 at 9 a.m. in the Plainview Cemetery.
