Russel Burton

Russel Burton, age 70, died Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at his home in Logandale, Nevada. He was born December 17, 1953 in Lompoc, California to Billy and Evelyn June Mayo Burton. On May 19, 1972 he married Arlene Elizabeth Ross in Las Vegas, Nevada. 

Russel spent most of his life in the Las Vegas area. He worked in the Laborer’s union for a short time before joining the Teamsters Union where he worked for over thirty years in the convention business. He lived in Sandy Valley from ’88 – 2019 when he moved to Logandale. He enjoyed lifting weights, being in the outdoors, riding motorcycles and 4-wheelin’. He was a great provider and capable of all the handyman projects around the home. He was a devoted father and husband with a great laugh and an easy disposition. He was loud and proud of his girls and his family.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene; his three daughters: Candice (Johnny) Herrera of Las Vegas; Regina (Rob) Reid of Shelton, WA; Alicia (Phillip) Skalecki of Las Vegas; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and three brothers: Billy (Shauna) of Las Vegas; Bobby of TX and Ricky (Marilee) of Las Vegas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Evelyn and one brother, Stephen.
