Thank you for your understanding at this time.

Ruby Hunt Perkins was born in Gunlock, UT on September 14, 1918 to James Wilson Hunt and Rozilla Pulsipher. She was the last surviving of the eight children and was also preceded in death by her husband Dale, and oldest son, Quenton (Gwyn). She is survived by her children Clinton (Lola), Andrea, Dennis (Geraldine), Mike (Sherry), and Regena (John), and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Ruby married Dale B. Perkins in 1936 and they lived in Overton, Upper Muddy, Las Vegas, and Alamo, NV.

She served in many capacities in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and Dale served together in the St. George and Las Vegas Temples for seventeen years.

In Ruby’s own words at 101 years old, three things she was passionate about: 1) Food, 2) Going to the mountains, 3) Quilting; three things she was looked forward to: 1) Being alive when I wake up in the morning, 2) Spring and warm weather, 3) the kids coming to see me.

She has passed on a great legacy to her posterity, many of whom have her gift for writing, quilting, and her love for the great outdoors. She passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020 in her own home with family in Alamo, NV.

Viewing services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020 6-8pm at the Moapa Valley Mortuary, 5090 N.
