Roy Morris Simmonds IV, age 45, died March 4, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born February 3, 1968 in Portland, Maine to Roy Morris III and Rita Geisenger. On December 31, 1989 he married Debra Michelle McKenrick in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Roy moved to Las Vegas as a little boy, graduated from Western High School in 1986 where he met his sweetheart, Debbie. He was an 18 year member of Teamsters Local #631 in the convention industry, before moving into management as a labor coordinator for Freeman Company. In 2005, he moved his family to Overton, Nevada. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, camping and being in the outdoors. He was passionate about his love of nature and it's preservation.

Roy was a dedicated father and husband. He loved being with his wife and daughters, traveling, spending time at their cabin in Beaver and enjoying the outdoors. He will be remembered for his compassion, kindness and intelligence.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie; two daughters, Sarah and Chloe, all of Overton, NV; his parents: Roy of Raymond, ME; Rita (Eric) Wexler of Las Vegas, NV; one brother and two sisters: Ryan of Raymond, ME; Rhonda Simmonds of Los Angeles, CA and Adina Tortomasi of Las Vegas, NV and his life closest friend, Russ Allen of Logandale, NV.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Tropicana Stake Center, 2275 E. Tropicana, Las Vegas, NV. Visitation will be from 12:30 - 1:45 p.m. prior to services at the chapel. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com
