Rosemary Behmer

Rosemary Behmer, age 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 26, 2010 in her home in Overton, NV. She was born March 15, 1925 in Pleasant Grove, UT to Carl and Ellen Roseberry Shurtliff. On July 13, 1946 she married Bernie Robert Behmer in Kingman, AZ.

As a child growing up, Rosemary lived in Kalion, and Overton, NV and graduated from Moapa Valley High School. Rosemary was very active in her church and loved her Primary president calling. She and Bob served a mission together in Phoenix, Arizona in 1992. She loved her family and enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was very talented at making dolls, sewing clothing for her children, gardening (especially flowers) and she dearly loved her dogs.

Survivors include her husband, Robert; four children: Robert C. (Patty), Marilyn (Melbourne) Perkins, all of Overton, NV, Floyd (Aundra) of WA, Darla Bell of Las Vegas, NV; two adopted sons: Todd of Costamesa, CA and Richard of Anchorage, AK; 23 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both parents, Carl and Ellen Shurtliff; sister, Norma Shurtliff Perkins; and sister-in-law, Mary Shurtliff.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 4, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Overton LDS chapel. Visitation will be Sunday, October 3, 2010 from 6-7 p.m. at Moapa Valley Mortuary and again from 9:30-10:30 prior to services on Monday. Interment will follow in Overton, under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary.
