Rose Kathryn Dady Conway passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Cliff View, St. George, Utah on November 29, 2013. She was a resident of Mesquite, Nevada for the last three years. Prior to living in Mesquite she resided in Seven Lakes, North Carolina, from 2000-2010. Kathy was born on June 22, 1934 in Mc Ewen, Tennessee, the youngest of 7 siblings. To all who knew and loved her, she was Kathy.
Kathy worked for an actuarial firm in Nashville, Tennessee when she met and married the love of her live, a career Naval Officer, James (Jim) Conway, in 1956. They had the opportunity to travel throughout the United States and a number of foreign countries during Jim's active naval service ans subsequent retirement.
Kathy was a generous, kind, and loving person who will be fondly remembered by everyone she knew. Kathy was a devoted wife and mother. She was also an accomplished crafts person, a talented artist, an excellent bridge player, and she could "shop 'til she dropped". Kathy gave generously of her time and volunteered in hospitals, charitable organizations, and other such activities. She was very proud to be called a "Navy Wife" and "Outstanding Shipmate".
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver C. Sr. And Sarah Hatcher Dady; brothers, Charlie and Ed Dady; sisters, Bonnie Griffin, Alma Legler, and Mabel Larkins.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Jim; daughter, Emily Harrison (David); son, James (Joyce); 3 grandchildren, David Harrison Jr. (Kristi), Drew Harrison (Mary Evelyn) and Sarah Harrison; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, O.C. Dady Jr. (Mildred) and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be private and conducted at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate any remembrances to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
