Rondy (Ron) James Clark passed away quietly in his sleep at the home which he shared with his wife, Liz, on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 1:30 am. He was 64.
Ron was born on February 28, 1951, at Camp Atterbury, Indiana to James Clark and Frances Hutto Clark. He attended military academy in Mexico, MO and then moved to the Midwest, where he spent the greater part of his life. Upon his retirement from Caterpillar Inc. in Peoria, IL (where he was employed for 33 years), he and Liz relocated to Goodyear, AZ where they lived for 8 years before moving to Mesquite, NV almost 2 years ago.
He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and step-daughter Jill Hamrick. Surviving are his loving wife, Liz, as well as his 2 children, Michele (Grey) Chapin and Brian (Erin) Clark and grandchildren Austin, Emma, Paige and Reese Chapin and Owen, Brody, Drew and Scarlet Clark. He was an avid football fan with unwavering loyalty to the Green Bay Packers. His biggest thrill in life was when he and Liz traveled to Green Bay, WI in 2007 to watch the playoff game, and he got to stand on Lambeau Field. He was of the Methodist faith.
A celebration of Life will be held at the Mesquite United Methodist Church (420 W. Pioneer Blvd) with Pastor Rick Casebolt officiating. The service will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at 2 pm, with a light luncheon to follow the service. He will be sorely missed by his wife, family and friends.
