Ronald Morgan Waters

September 21, 1925 — May 4, 2011

Ronald Morgan Waters, age 85, died Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at his home in Logandale, Nevada. He was born September 21, 1925 in Beaver, Utah to Charles William and Myrtle Evelyn Morgan Waters. On September 8, 1946 he married Retta Decker in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were sealed on February 27, 1965 in the St. George LDS temple. Ronald grew up in Beaver, UT. During WWII, he served in Germany during the Battle of the Bulge. After his marriage, he moved his family as he followed the construction jobs, through out the Southwest. Always faithful in the LDS Church, he served in many different callings. He finally settled in Logandale in 1990. He will be remembered for his work ethic and for his ability to teach his children to be honest, forgiving and hard workers. Survivors include his wife, Retta of Logandale, NV; four daughters and two sons: Annette (Ross) Jones of Overton, NV; Ronda (Louie) Chambers of Reno, NV; Jolene (Brad) Tanner of Springville, UT; Kevin (Lori) of Logandale, NV; David of Georgia; Kristine (Loren) Young of CO.; 21 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; two brothers and one sister: Warren (Vera) Waters of Henderson, NV; Laurel Fotheringham of Eagle Point, UT and Jack (Vicki) Waters of Beaver, UT. He was preceded in death by two sons, Rodger, an infant son, four sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 11, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Logandale LDS Stake Center. Visitation will be Tuesday May 10, 2011 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary and again from 9:00 - 9:45 a.m. prior to services at the chapel. Interment will be at the Logandale Cemetery under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary.
