Ronald Joseph Scherer, age 77, passed awayFriday, April 25, 2014 in St. George, Utah. He was born April 3, 1937 in Madison, Wisconsin to Leo J. and Dona Bohte Scherer. On October 30, 1981 he married Betty J. Barto Hunter in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Ronald grew up in St. Cloud, Minnesota. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He settled in Las Vegas, Nevada around 1965, working as an executive pastry chef for many years. He retired to Overton, Nevada about 15 years ago. He enjoyed doing yardwork and working with model cars.
Ron loved his family, and being with his 3 Grandkids, and 4 Great Grandsons.
He enjoyed working in his yard, making model cars, and taking care of his vehicles, especially his pride and joy a " Classic Chevy Truck".
Survivors include his wife, Betty of Overton; one step son, Ed (Terry) Romero of Logandale, NV; one step daughter, Winnie (Dave) Hollingsworth of Overton, NV; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
