Ronald Wayne Lyon

Ronald Wayne Lyon, 81, passed away July 27, 2016 in Mesquite, NV. He was born September 28, 1934 in Rawlins, WY to Ray Frank Lyon and Bertha Critchlow Lyon. He married Patricia Maryann Moore on November 6, 1956 in Sinclair, WY.

Ron lived most of his life in Rawlins, WY attending schools and later working for the Union Pacific Railroad where he retired as a locomotive engineer. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing. After retirement, Ron and Pat spent their winters in Arizona as "Snowbirds" where they made many lifelong friends. Ron was a lifelong learner, using crossword puzzles to keep his mind sharp.

Ron is survived by Patricia of the family home, his children; Daniel J. (Carol) Lyon of Cheyenne, WY, Deena (Jim) Neal of Mesquite, NV and Ryan Park, WY, and Deanna (Gary) French of Greeley, CO; his grandchildren, Dustin (Darci) Neal of Casper, WY, Shannon Neal of Casper, WY, Chelsea French of Rock Springs, WY and Brittany French of Greeley, CO; his great-grandchildren, Devyn Neal, Dashal Neal, and Landen Moore of Casper, WY; his sisters, Frances McLean of National City, CA, Rita Hartman of Borrego Springs, CA; his brothers, Larry Lyon of Phoenix, AZ and W. Jeffrey Lyon of Show Low, AZ. Ron is preceded in death by his parents, brother Marvin Lyon and sister Eleanor and grandson Devin French.
