Ronald Johnson

Ronald Dean Johnson, age 63, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at his home in Indian Springs, Nevada. He was born January 16, 1953 in Memphis, Tennessee to Armer Woodrow Johnson and Dorothy Mae Larsh. On December 10, 1976 he married Mary Alice Harris in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ronald grew up in many parts of the country as his dad served in the U.S. Navy. But spent many happy years in bend Oregon and graduated there. It was a place he considered home. He finally settled in Indian Springs as a young man. He raised his family in Indian Springs working as an operating engineer with the union. He enjoyed reading, the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. He loved his family dearly, enjoyed traveling, the drag races, Disneyland and being a teacher and mentor to his children and grandchildren. He was a hardworking family man will be forever loved and cherished.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; son, Sean; grandchildren, Shawnia and Bryant all of Indian Springs, Nevada. One brother, Francis D. Johnson (Dee); his wife Jane Johnson of Bonita, CA. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Nichole Johnson; step-father Jack Creek; mother Dorothy Creek; Father Armer Johnson.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Palm Mortuary Chapel, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson Nevada. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the chapel. Interment will follow in the Palm Mortuary Cemetery.
