Ronald M Flentye
5/10/1936- 2/3/2021
This world is sadder today. It lost an amazing husband, father, grandpa, and friend. Ron lived an amazing life. He was an entrepreneur and owned his own business. He loved golf and created his own golf shop, Nine Eagles Golf (talk about loving your hobbies). He was blessed with four amazing kids with his first wife, Billie Bailey. He later inherited three more through his later in life sweetheart, Charlie. Ron and Charlie had a 22 year love story. The two cheered for the Denver Broncos while wearing their orange and blue. They golfed in the sunshine and enjoyed cocktails with their friends. Their happy place was by the pool, sipping cocktails and chatting about day to day life. Ron also loved his weekly gin games with his buddies. His gin games at the Oasis were his home away from home.
Ron left behind an amazing legacy. His precious wife, best friend, and love, Charlie. His four children: Lori (Mark) Anderson, Larry (Debbie) Flentye, Ronald Flentye Jr, and Susan Birrenkott. His three inherited children: Jennifer (Richie) Carter, Robin (Bret) Jackson, Gill (Karen) Porto. 13 Grandkids. 6 Great grandkids. Life long friends: Jerry and Jessie Sandler. And of course his demon cat, Puss.
Ron will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His laughter and humor will be remembered by those who knew him. Some people make such a mark on our heart, that when they leave us, our world comes apart from the loss we feel.
Thank you so much to the staff of Mesa View Hospital and Comfort Home Health and Hospice. You all have been so amazing! We love you all!
A memorial service will follow at a later date. The family invites you to leave a thought or message on their Guestbook at virginvalleymortuary.com
