Roberta (Perkins) Cottam

Roberta Perkins Cottam peacefully passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2021 in Logandale, Nevada at the age of 78.

Roberta was born April 6, 1942 in Overton, Nevada to Robert and Lucille “Billie” (Connelly) Perkins.  She was preceded in death by four of her seven siblings and by two of her children; Edward Clay and Robert “Wampton” Donald.

She married Arnold Thomas Cottam on January 18, 1964.  They were later sealed in the St. George Temple on June 25, 1965. Arnold and Roberta raised their five children for a short time in Las Vegas and Fallon but finally settled in Logandale, Nevada.

Roberta will be remembered by her wit, spunkiness and willingness to help out whenever needed.

She is survived by  her husband Arnold Cottam; children: Carol Cottam, Jim (Lorena) Cottam, Angie (Dirty) Dixon; eight grandchildren and five granddaughters.  She is also survived by two of her sisters: Vera Hester and Ann Soderquist and brother Tim (Kathy) Perkins.

A viewing will be held on Monday, February 1, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary and on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral service at the chapel. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logandale Chapel 3245 Moapa Valley Blvd. and will be available to view live at Roberta Cottam Memorial Facebook Group, with a link found below.
Interment will follow in the Logandale Cemetery.
