Robert Wiggs

Robert Nelson Wiggs, age 80, died Wednesday, November 24, 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born February 12, 1930 in Baxter Springs, Kansas to Raymond Rush and Edith Marie Hayes Wiggs. On December 21, 1955 he married Fumie Koito in Tokyo, Japan.
Robert grew up in Colorado. As a young man he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served his country for over 28 years, including two tours in Vietnam. He lived in Japan, where he met his wife, Fumie. They lived in many different places including, Hawaii, California, Georgia and Colorado. In 1975, they retired to Las Vegas where he enjoyed the challenge of starting and running several successful businesses. He enjoyed hunting, and bowling with Fumie.
Survivors include his wife, Fumie of Las Vegas, NV; his sister, Barbara (George) Mitchell of Parshall, CO and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada. Arrangements under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary, 702 398-3600.
