Robert (Bob) Eugene Dill, age 71, died Thursday, December 26, 2019 at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born May 14, 1948 in Billings, Montana to James Renwick and Mary Anita Magnani Dill.
Bob grew up in Billings, Montana. As a child he enjoyed Little League baseball and hunting. In high school he wrestled and enjoyed playing the guitar. He was a manager of a drive-in movie theater. In his spare time, Bob enjoyed fixing his and his friend’s cars. He served in the US Marines Reserve with his basic training in San Diego, California. There he learned to scuba dive.
Bob moved from Billings to Las Vegas with his young family in 1979 to work year round as a heavy equipment operator, specifically paving. He retired from Southern Nevada Paving in 2013 after 32 years in the industry. Bob had a love for Hot Rod cars, restoring them, watching car shows on television and attending them when they came to Las Vegas. He mostly loved spending time with his family. He loved hosting pool parties and holidays at his home.
Robert is survived by his companion, Patricia Butts of Las Vegas, NV; two sons and one daughter: Cameron of Yellowstone Park, WY; Cori (Blades) White of San Tan Valley, AZ; Michael (Juanita) of N. Las Vegas, NV; eight grandchildren; two sisters: Mary Jane Kelly of Billings, MT and Sandi (Don) Glaser of Arvada, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, Don Haider, brother Tom, and granddaughter, Kyndal.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 2 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 50 E. Azure Street, N. Las Vegas, NV 89031. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com
