Richard Andrew Conklin, age 62, met with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Friday morning, February 5, 2021 at his home in Littlefield, AZ. Rick was born on June 15, 1958 in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, to Charles Raymond and Donna Lee Todero Conklin. He married Diane VanBuren in 1977 and had one child. They later divorced. In 1991, he married Jennifer Patrick. They had five children and were married for 23 years until they divorced in 2015.
Rick grew up in Lockport, New York and moved to California in his early 20's where he worked a short time at Disney Corporation. He did some work on the Epcot center in Florida and often said that was one of his proudest times. Rick worked in the studios as an electrician on some Fox network shows. He also worked on Cheers and In Living Color. He loved the Rose Parade and enjoyed working with his brother, Chuck, in the studio booth. Rick was a carpenter and mason whose work in Lockport, NY, Las Vegas, NV and Los Angeles, CA is still evident today.
Richard was preceded in death by his father, Charles Conklin, Sr., and one daughter, Angel Marie. Rick leaves behind four daughters and one son: Melissa (John) Allen of Simpsonville, SC; Katherine of Corvallis, OR; Nicolette of Mesquite, NV; Aaron of Littlefield, AZ; Emily of Mesquite, NV; three grandchildren; Declan, Karter and Rhylan; his mother, Donna Buras of North Tonawanda, NY; one sister and two brothers: Patricia (John) Hill of Harper, TX; Charles Jr. (Vicki) of Flagstaff, AZ; Mark of Edgartown, MA, and many nieces and nephews. Rick loved life. He loved his children and grandchildren; They were the apple of his eye. Rick, you will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved you.
