Steven K. Seckinger, 78, passed away on February 5, 2022 in St. George, UT. Steven was born on August 2, 1943 in the little, white hospital in Overton, NV to Clyde Leroy Seckinger and Alice Pearl Lee, and lived in the valley the majority of his life.

In school, he was engaged in many activities and athletics. He played as quarterback, ran track, played in the band, and was the Student Body Vice President. After graduating, he worked as a surveyor all over Nevada. He took part in building the I-15, and later worked at the Test Site at Area 51. He loved to be out on the trails with his horse, Michael Jack, and his dog, Skunk. He was among the first of the Moapa Valley Riders. He was very kind, and though he didn’t bother others with his needs, he would always help those around him.

Steven is survived by his son, Reno Seckinger; his three grandchildren; his sisters, Penny and Deana; and many nieces and nephews. He has gone off to reunite with his parents, and his siblings: Janet, Clydie, Leroy, and baby twin brother, Simon.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Moapa Valley Mortuary on Thursday, February 17, 2022 10-11:00 a.m., with Interment at the Logandale Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in their Guest Book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com.
