Raymond Ralph Peterson

January 8, 1925 — February 28, 2014

Beaver Dam, AZ- Raymond Ralph Peterson, 89, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 at Mesa View Regional Hospital. He was born on January 8, 1925 in Levan, Utah to Ralph and Edna Peterson. He married the love of his life Marjorie Cowan on January 28, 1943 in Nephi, Utah.

Raymond was raised in Levan, Utah. He loved the mountains; where he hunted and fished his entire life. He raised his family of five children in Midvale, Utah. Raymond made friends wherever he traveled. He worked in the music industry for many years and retired from Panasonic. -Salesman Extrordinare! -

He was a devoted member of the LDS Church with many callings. He and Marge served a mission in St. George. He was called as a Bishop at the age of 75 and served over 12 years in the St. George Temple. He lived and taught the teachings the way his faith guided him. His greatest accomplishment in life is his family, loving wife, 5 children, 23 grand children, 46 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grand children.

He is survived by his wife Marjorie, Gloria (Larry) Bryan, Jackie (Randy) Rodgers, Duane (Sharon) Peterson, and his brother, Sherman Peterson. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Ralph Peterson; daughter, Linda Kitchen, and grandson, Dustin Kitchen.

Services will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the Littlefield LDS Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Friends may call 9:30-10:30 prior to services and Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at the Littlefield LDS Chapel from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Larkin Cemetery, 10600 S 1700 E, Sandy, Utah at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the LDS General Mission Fund.

Special thanks to Jeff Hunt, the firefighter who made a valiant attempt at reviving Ray.
