Raymond Robert Gould, age 61, passed away peacefully at his home in Beaver Dam, Arizona after a courageous battle with illness. He was born on July 18, 1947 in Salt Lake City Utah to Melvin Jay Gould and Henrietta Miller. Raymond grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and joined the Navy after graduation. Raymond married Darlene Garlock on March 6, 1975 in Bountiful, Utah. He fought in Vietnam for three years before taking early leave. After the war he attended Weber State and received a bachelor degree in Engineering. Raymond worked for Hill Air Force and Boeing. He retired due to illness and moved back to Salt Lake City. They moved to the Mesquite area in 2000 and bought a home in Beaver Dam in 2004. Raymond will be greatly missed. He loved his pets, three dogs Sasha, Blue, and Prince. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He enjoyed going to Sea World and other vacations. Survivors include his wife, Darlene Gould of Beaver Dam, AZ; a daughter Elizabeth Gould of Beaver Dam, AZ; a sister Marilyn Hatch of Gunnison, UT; many nephews and nieces. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 25, 2008 at 9 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park in Mesquite.
