Randy W Rempe

Randy William Rempe, age 63, died Friday, December 18, 2020 at his home in Mesquite, Nevada.  He was born September 20, 1957 in Fort Madison, Iowa to John William and Evelyn Ann Young Rempe.  On May 22, 1993 he married Janette Stewart in the Las Vegas LDS Temple.
Randy grew up in Iowa.  He worked at a manufacturing plant in Iowa.  After growing tired of the cold, he moved to Las Vegas in 1989 where he worked for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in building maintenance and later as a security guard.  He lived in Springville, Utah for ten years.  He had a natural green thumb and helped his yard to blossom like a rose.  He moved to Mesquite, Nevada in 2016.  Randy had a fascination with John Deere tractors.  He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following BYU, Duke, the Cardinals and watching horse racing.  He loved serving others and spoiling his nieces and nephews.
Randy searched for many years for a church that was represented by twelve apostles.  After finding the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he became a faithful member.  He served in various positions from Nursery leader, Cub Scout leader to Stake Missionary and as a counselor in the Bishopric.  He has been a faithful and devoted home teacher and minister to his dying day.
Survivors include his wife, Janette of Mesquite, NV; his parents John & Evelyn Rempe of Argyle, IA; two sisters, Brenda Boeding of West Point, IA; Tina (Kent) Penrod of Fort Madison, IA and one nephew, Bradly Penrod of Fort Madison. He inherited from his wife, 34 nieces and nephews; 104 great nephews and nieces and 13 great great nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 28, 2020 at 11 a.m. at the Bunkerville LDS Chapel.  Visitation will Sunday, December 27, 2020 from 6 - 7 p.m. at the Virgin Valley Mortuary and an hour before services at the chapel.  Due to current health restrictions, the services will be limited to family only.  Friends and extended family are invited to watch the livestream of the services on the mortuary website, virginvalleymortuary.com or at the Church’s website http://mywebcast.churchofjesuschrist.org/events/mesquitenevadastake.
